He Beat 3 Trained MMA Fighters with NOTHING But His Ninpo-Taijutsu Kamae!
What does it take to win – to survive – a mutliple attacker scenario? How do you successfully defend yourself against 3 attackers trying to beat you into the floor... and walk away without a bruise, scratch, or anything to show for your troubles?
Especially when your attackers are trained MMA fighters!
To answer that question, I'm going to tell you a quick story. The story is true and involved the student of one of one of my online ninjutsu training black belts.
I think that using this real-life example will drive home the lessons and the points that I want you to learn, much better than me trying to “tell” you what to do. It also proves that anyone can do this, and without years of training.
You just have to make sure that you're training correctly!
Here's what happened:
Nate was visiting some friends when he heard a girl screaming from the apartment next door. She was screaming for help and sounded terrified.
When he got to the apartment, he saw two men fighting each other so ferociously that one wall had been caved in and one of the doors of a 2-door refrigerator had been literally ripped off of the unit. By now, there were three people involved, but apparently one was trying to break up the fight between the other two – and it wasn't working.
Nate could see that the girl was in danger of being hurt by the brawlers, so he stepped in to try to help her, and to stop the fight.
In the process of all the chaos, he learned that the two fighters were friends. In fact, all three knew each other through the MMA gym owned by one of the combatants. He was fighting his assistant instructor in a drunken, angry state, while the third man – a student – was trying unsuccessfully to break things up.
In the process of trying to help to calm things and “save the girl,” Nate suddenly found himself facing three angry attackers who turned on him as the “common enemy.” They suddenly forgot about their own feud and, including the supposed peacekeeper, and all turned on him.
The next several minutes had Nate trying to avoid punches and direct the assailants out of the apartment, down the stairs, and out into the front, where the “fight” ended with the three MMA fighters sitting “nicely” with Nate telling them, “Don't get up,” while everyone waited for the police to arrive.
How did he do it?
According to Nate, no one was more surprised by “how little” it took than he was. He used nothing but kamae evasion and strategic control to avoid every punch with ease, and never had to throw a punch of his own. Truth be told, he did end up applying an omote-gyaku ('outside wrist reversal'), a musha dori ('uplifting elbow, shoulder dislocation'), and a ganseki-nage ('forward hip throw') in the process – at one point almost sending one of his attackers over a balcony railing!
The best part?
Even though he had years of Kempo training, he had only been studying Ninjutsu, and the science of using Kamae and strategic, situational control... for a FEW MONTHS!
He never used his Kempo training, and was surprised that Kamae and a few basic locks and a throw were all that was necessary...
...to successfully defend against THREE TRAINED FIGHTERS!
Remember, this was a real attack situation. No ring. No referee. No rules.
And, where the MMA fighters have a tough time in a one-on-one fight in an open ring against one of their own...
...they couldn't even touch someone fairly new at Ninpo-Taijutsu – when the fight moved from an apartment living area, a balcony, a stairwell – you know, in the real world!
To top it all off... he didn't have to defend himself against the legal system because he looked like "just another fighter" when the police arrived!
I wanted to share this with you because Nathan learned first-hand, the reality of the lessons that I'm teaching you. And, more importantly that, with the right training – with the proper use of strategic control and the principles and concepts (not techniques) proven to give you the greatest advantage...
...that you can do a LOT with only a few basic skills.
To your achievement of Warrior Mastery!

To Be a Ninja is to be a True 'Lady' or 'Gentleman'
Today, I want to share with you something that literally changed the way I viewed both the art of Ninjutsu, and why I teach from the perspective that I do.
You see, I've been training in Ninjutsu since 1980. That's a long time, I know, but I'm not pointing that out to impress you. But I do want to impress "upon" you that I have seen things, and have gone through many different training methods that, quite frankly, very few know about today.
I have also received many lessons from Hatsumi-Sensei that, since the focus was changed to "Budo-Taijutsu," you probably haven't heard. Again, not bragging, just setting up the point of today's lesson.
One of the earliest lessons that I received from Soke, and probably one of those that "sealed the deal" for me, causing me to train and focus on what I do, had to do with the end result - the goal of the training - and not about martial arts or self-defense.
It's one of the reasons that I contend that Ninjutsu is "NOT" a real martial arts. At least, not in the sense that most people - including most students and teachers in the Bujinkan today - view the martial arts.
What I'm talking about is this, and it's something that I spoke about in one of my recent "Inner Circle" Platinum Coaching calls with my online students...
I'm talking about the lesson where Hatsumi-Sensei said, "To be called a Ninja, is to be called a true 'Lady' or 'Gentleman.'"
Do you understand that statement?
It's part of what I was talking about with my online coaching students when we were discussing the perspective that a student has when he or she "enters" the Path of training. Because, what they focus on is who and what they will become at the end of it all.
I also discuss this quiet a bit in both my "Ninja Mind" and Ninja no Hachimon Programs. You can fiind information about these two online ninjutsu training programs at:
http://www.warrior-concepts-online.com/8Gates.html (Ninja no Hachimon), and...
http://www.warrior-concepts-online.com/ninja-mind-course.html (Ninja Mind)
Because, if you're idea of training in this art is to become a super fighter or some kind of "Ninja Assassin" like you see in the movies, then what you're doing is training to become exactly the opposite of that the art of Ninjutsu is all about! Instead of becoming "invisible" and moving in the shadows, you will become more and more obvious, and less and less invisible.
If you set out to "show your enemies who's boss" - to "teach 'them' a lesson" - or to make your enemies face "Universal Justice" (or whatever your catch-phrase is), then you will (according to the Universal law of Karma) be creating more and more enemies until, one day, you will have more than you can handle.
The art of Ninjutsu is not about becoming some tough-guy or girl. It's not like most other martial arts where the end result is to have the most powerful skills.
In fact, it's just the opposite of that.
The art that was passed down by our spiritual ancestors was one of "working your will without action," of "being invisible in the eyes of your enemies," and of appearing to take no action and attaining the goals and results that you wanted."
It's not about "living for the martial arts," or any such limiting viewpoint. It's about having the skills and power to accomplish what needs to be accomplished with no one else knowing that you had any action in it.
Hardly possible if you walk around bragging about the color of your belt, how many fights you've been in, or what you're going to do to the next guy who does XYZ to you!
But, if you could develop the social graces - the level of knowledge, etiquette, and appearances of a true Lady or Gentleman...
...who would even suspect that you were controlling things and protecting yourself and others.
Who would expect that, under that refined, peaceful exterior, lay the skills and abilities that no attacker ever wants to experience - and no lawyer would ever think twice about when it came to prosecuting a thug!
Think about it.
In Mastery!

PS - Many well-meaning students and those looking for these proven, time-tested lessons avoid the use of the word "Ninja" or "Ninjutsu" because of what it has come to be seen as - cartoon characters and warped images of killer warriors depicted in movies, on television, and in the media. Isn't it ironic that, in an age where Ninjutsu has become available to the masses, it is just as hidden as it has always been?
PPS - Have you enrolled in my new "Ninpo-Mastermind"? It's a new online ninjutsu training program where you get monthly lessons ( 2 or 4 based on the level of membership that you choose) taken straight from my dvd programs, home study courses, and Ninja Camp dvds!

Using Meditation for Martial Arts and Real World Self-Defense
I have a question for you...
"What do you need - I mean REALLY need, to be able to survive a brutal assault - on the street, in your home...
...andywhere?
What do you need?
What are the critical "pieces of the puzzle", so-to-speak, that will give you the greatest advantage against a larger, stronger, faster, better skilled, or better armed assailant?
To most, there's the belief that all you need is physical self-defense techniques. You know...
...stylized, step-by-step, "karate moves."
But, after growing up in the big city and being the target of every bully and thug, both in my school and neighborhood, and then going on to become a uniformed and undercover police officer who saw his fair share of "combat." on the streets...
...I can tell you that this self-defense belief is flat out WRONG!
http://warrior-concepts-store.com/wordpress/?page_id=1542
In fact, in a real self-defense situation, if you're not giving yourself every opportunity, and using every tool at your disposal, you are crippling your chances of surviving, or at least doing with the least amount of wear-and-tear on yourself in the process.
There are psychological ("mental"), emotional, and even spiritual sides to a combat situation. And, if you're not tuned in to as many of these as possible, along with having solid, proven, and time-tested physical techniques and skills...
...it's really all a crap-shoot, and hoping that you'll just be better than your attacker.
Do you understand?
If so, and if this is important to you, then I just created a new program that takes a look at meditation training from the self-defense perspective. It's called...
Goshin no Meso
"Using Meditation for Martial Arts and Self-Defense Mastery!
Check out the details here: http://warrior-concepts-store.com/wordpress/?page_id=1542
Of course, if this isn't improtant to you - if you think that meditation is something that it probably isn't, or if you think that a few skills, moves, and a "tough-guy/girl" attitude is all it takes...
I wish you all the luck.
Because, at some point, you may find that that's all you have left!
